— At the core of Pierre Bonnefille’s new home collection is the discovery of a collection of stones originating from ancient African copper mines, inspiring his desire to further explore the richness of the Earth’s crust.

— The ‘Metamorphosis’ series pays homage to the geometry created by natural phenomenon, such as crystallization and mineralization, which inspired the form of this home collection series, consisting of high and low tables, buffets, consoles, benches and bookshelves.

— The series puts forth the idea of the material’s transformation and its variations developed by the artist. Two different forms of copper compose the base of this series: one being composed of sheets of copper installed on wood structures, the other covers a texture made up of copper powder.

— The composition of the materials used are similar to the fundamental combinations of rock: copper, brass, bronze and steel conversing with the rare colours of the materials’ elements.
